Richard Dixon
Now retired, Richard is an experienced Vice-President of Human Resources with a demonstrated history of working in the transportation/trucking/railroad industry. He is skilled in collective bargaining, career development, HR consulting, coaching and team building. He is also a strong human resources professional, who graduated from ICD-Rotman, Directors Education Program. Richard played an integral role in advancing workplace mental health in Canada as an original member of the Mental Health Commission of Canada's Workforce Advisory Committee. In his former role as VP and Human Resources Officer, NAV Canada, Richard also participated in the 2010 forum on psychological health and safety that resulted in the development of the report, Elements and Priorities for Working Toward a Psychologically Safe Workplace. This landmark document offers ideas to protect psychological safety across the employment life cycle.
